Representatives of AMIK where expected by the Ministry of MPA
April 20, 2010-Representatives of the Association of Microfinance Institutions of Kosovo (AMIK), led by the director of this association, Blerta Qerimi, Board Director of AMIK. Ms. Ella Beavers and Mr. Vahdet Anadolli, board members of AMIK, where expected by the Minister of the Ministry of Public Administration, Ms.Edita Tahiri and her affiliates competent in this field. The purpose of this meeting, among others, was the possibility that the status of these structures to develop further, in line with the new circumstances created in our country after the declaration of statehood.
AMIK representatives, after briefly presenting the course of their work since its establishment until today, have raised the need to transform these microfinance structures, so that they fit with the overall evolution of the country after the country’s independence.
Ministry Edita Tahiri expressed appreciation for the contribution and assistance in the postwar period, especially in rural areas, these structures and stressed the readiness of Kosovo institutions and the ministry that it leads to a rapid and adequate solutions regarding their role and status.
