For the fourth time in Rahovec, the traditional “GRAPE HARVEST FESTIVAL” was held which was under patronage of the President of Kosovo on the 7th of September 2009. The opening of this festival was made by cutting of the grape vine by the President of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu, who once called for the preservation and continuing of this cultural tradition. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Idris Vehapi held a speech in this festival and said “this festival is a testimony that farmers should be assisted with the help of credit from ranking institutions in the country with favourable interests and longer terms”. Many representatives from the government attended this celebration. FINCA Rahovec branch participated in this event with advertising and promoting its products. Around 1500 visitors participated in this event and FINCA had the opportunity to distribute brochures for FINCA’s products.
