FINCA Kosovo Branch and Credit Managers Training Completed

The training for FINCA Kosovo Branch and Credit Managers finished on Saturday 20 October. Fourteen of the program Managers took part in the training. The training was prepared and conducted by John Yancura who is based in the Eurasia Hub in Kyiv, Ukraine. The training is part of a larger structure called the Branch Manager Training Program (BMDP). In its entirety, the BMDP consists of 12 classroom modules along with field work, case studies, readings, and a mentoring program.
The participants actively participated in the training, which included modules on subjects such as reading and interpreting branch level financials, branch level planning, organizing resources for maximizing results, and controlling branch operations, among others. These are called the functional modules and make up half of phase I of the BMDP.
Kosovo Country Director, Stefan Martiniak, spoke to the participants and expressed his support for the program on the first and last days of the training. COO Engyl Pallusha contributed on a number of the training days. FINCA International Consultant Olga Sedykh, Finance Manager Agnesa Vezgishi and HR Manager Elvane Karjagdiu conducted sessions during the training.
Based on the success of the training, the second half of the BMDP classroom modules is scheduled to take place with the same participants in early 2008.
