FINCA Kosovo is a co – sponsor of the basketball club Bashkimi. Now days Bashkimi competes in Kosovo first division. This team is on the top three places in the Kosovo Cup and is ranked in second place. This team also played in the Semifinals Cup in Kosovo and went to the finale play-off.
Bashkimi club was created in 1945 after the Second World War. After the conflict in year 1999, KB. Bashkimi won the Kosovo Cup. But, the most unsuccessful season for the club was in 2006-2007. During this season, KB. Bashkimi experienced a long hard moment unlike the success they had before and fell from the first place they held. Meanwhile, during season 2008-2009, with good organization and sponsorship assistance, where microfinance institution FINCA was also a part of it, KB. Bashkimi club was revived again and reached to the final play-off and Semifinal Cup in Kosovo.
Too many players have played during its years in Bashkimi but most known out of them were Davor Pejcinovic, Johny Philips, Lee Benson, Schin Kerr, Vedran Bosnic, Billy Armstrong, Bledar Gjeqaj, William Njoku and many more
