FINCA Kosovo has celebrated its 20th anniversary, commemorating this anniversary by bringing together its clients, staff, and partners who have helped with the institution’s long journey from the beginning to now

Present at this event were FINCA’s global leaders, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, and representatives of the country’s financial institutions.

Speakers at the event were the Executive Director of FINCA Kosovo Mr. Ardian Kastrati, Chairwomen of the Board of FINCA Kosovo, Vice President and Regional Director of MESA Regions Ms. Zar Wardak, Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, and Global Chief Operating Officer of FINCA Impact Finance Ms. Caren Robb.

FINCA Kosovo was one of the first institutions in Kosovo that provided easy access to financial services to help with rebuilding homes, improving the standard of living, alleviating poverty and developing small businesses, thus overcoming the aftermath consequences of the 1999 conflict in Kosovo.

FINCA Kosovo, 20 years after its inauguration, outperforms in the microfinance sector according to the number of loans and covers all regions in Kosovo with its 29 branches. FINCA Kosovo is a model financial institution that provides financial and non-financial services to women, as well as Automatic and Digitized processes through credit scoring, hence being the only microfinance in Kosovo that applies this particular system for its clients.

This 20 year period has been a shared journey with clients, partners and the microfinance industry.
